ABOUT DR. SKETCHY’S ANTI ART SCHOOL

How is Dr. Sketchy’s different from a normal life drawing class?

In normal life classes, silent students sit in a silent room and draw a bored, oft-uninteresting model but Dr. Sketchy’s is a life drawing class turned cabaret extravaganza!
Artists draw glamorous underground performers, compete in ridiculous contests, and win booze and prizes. Founded in 2005 by artist Molly Crabapple, from its humble Brooklyn beginnings, it has spread to 100 cities on five continents- including London, Rome, Tokyo, Paris, Sao Paulo and Melbourne.
At Dr. Sketchy’s, we don’t care if you picked up a pad yesterday or 50 years ago. Come to drink or to draw. We’re happy to have you.

"Dr Sketchy’s works brilliantly in any festival or participatory arts event – as part of Castlepalooza Shake-Shops 2012 and 2013 as well as Shakefest 2014, they rocked the Ballroom with their fun, sassy, colorful and innovative themes. All participants enjoyed themselves and I’m sure each one came away with a little more Sketchy in their hearts."

"Scarlett and her team did a fantastic job for us at the Galway Tattoo Show. The Dr Sketchy's performance is a very entertaining and interactive show that spoke to the many 'walks of life' we had in attendance at the Radisson Hotel. If you're looking for a fun, unique, art driven slice of entertainment for your event, then look no further"
